Optically switchable organic light-emitting transistors in Nature Nanotechnology

Previous works of Bernd at the Humboldt University of Berlin have just been published in Nature Nanotechnology. A paper six years in the making was accepted in Nature Nanotechnology in the beginning of 2019 and saw the light of day on Monday accompanied by press release from Heinrich Heine University and Humboldt University. We could show that by combining light-emitting semiconducting polymers and fluorinated and non-fluorinated photoswitchable molecules, remote controllable light-emitting transistors can be fabricated. Writing and erasing patterns like the letter H is possible on a micrometer scale, surpassing event current retina displays.

The work was also just featured as a Resarch Highlight in Nature
